 Happy New Year!

A few months ago I heard that The Times was launching a new science magazine. Last Thursday (7th January) I finally tracked a copy down. The magazine is published monthly and included free with the newspaper. I am assuming that it will be available on the first Thursday of the month. The content is described as science, life and the planet. There are articles on fear, the ownership of DNA samples, climate change, genetically identical twins and animal experiments. There is also something on "String Theory" - I am still trying to get my own head around that one. In general the articles are well written and an easy read for A level biologists, and certainly not beyond GCSE science keenies. Not as fat as some of the other publications on the newsagent shelves, but to balance things out, it is only the price of a newspaper. There you go, a science magazine with a sudoku and crossword thrown in - not to mention a TV guide! Give the February copy a go.

And finally, good luck on the 12th.
