I find myself somewhat stranded at home in the snow. The hill outside my house is impassible to all but the most serious of four-wheel-drives and my car hasn't moved since the snow started. I have cancelled eight sessions this week and am going to do my best to offer catch-up sessions during the school holidays to as many students as possible.

Please don't try to drive to me unless you are absolutely sure that your car will get through. Better to lose an hour of biology than to write a car off. Under the circumstances I am happy for you to make decisions at short notice if you chose to cancel.

If I am due to drive to you, I am making the decision to teach out on a day-by-day basis and will telephone in the morning if I think that I am unable to get to you.

In case I don't see you this week, have a good time over Christmas, and please do a small amount of revision, AS is three weeks away now!
